President Maithripala Sirisena handed over a newly built house in Digana, Kandy today (08), to the family members of the late Police Constable N. Premadasa,who died in a road accident on 2015-09-10 while serving in the Presidential Security Division.
The house was built at a cost of Rs. 2 million under the guidance of Senior DIG S.M. Wickramasinghe, head of the President’s Security Division and with the donations of all the officers of the Presidential Security Division.
The land to build the house was given by the Mahaweli Development Authority under the guidance of the President.
After the opening of the new house, the President engaged in a cordial discussion with the family members of the late Police Constable N. Premadasa.
The residents of the area gathered when they receive the news that the President has arrived there, and the President also paid his attention to the issues presented by the residents to him.
The Chief Minister of the Central Province Sarath Ekanayake and senior officials and members of the Presidential Security Division were present on the occasion.
