The executive director of Green Climate Fund, Howard Bamsey met President Maithripala Sirisena at the presidential secretariat, today (6)

Howard Bamsey and other high ranking representatives of the Fund have arrived in the Island to find out the effect of climatic change on the knuckles mountain range and the waterfalls in the region and sustainable ground management.

The Green Climate Fund is an active organization for providing financial aid and finding multiple parties towards the programmes taken by developing countries on climatic changes.

The assistance is provided by the Green Climate Fund to reduce the carbon emission and to work on effects of climatic change.

Secretary to the Ministry of Mahaweli Development & Environment, Mr. Anura Dissanayake also joined the discussion.
