As part of his on-going state visit to Vietnam, President Anura Kumara Disanayake paid his respects this morning (05) at the War Heroes’ Monument in Hanoi by laying a floral wreath in honour of those who sacrificed their lives.
Following this, the President visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum located at the Presidential Palace. There, he placed a floral tribute at the final resting place of the late President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s first President and a revered leader of the country’s struggle for independence.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, also joined the President for these solemn observances.
